3. Mix the color with Activator 5 vol until the consistency is smooth.

All numbers on our color shades have a specific meaning.

The first number indicates the color level, that is, how dark or light the color is. Number 1 represents the darkest shade, black, while number 10 is the lightest shade, light blonde.

The second number indicates the tone of the color; different shades of color give a warm, cool or neutral tone.

It is important to always start from the starting point that your hair has today. You always need to choose a color at the same level as your hair is today or darker. If you want to lighten your hair, you need to bleach your hair first.

3 tips to make the color last longer:

- Wash your hair with Post Color Shampoo immediately after coloring.

- Wash your hair less often and with cooler water.

- Invest in good products that preserve color, True Care is a color preserving series.

One tube of True Colour hair dye 100 ml is mixed with 1 bottle of Activator 150 ml, this is enough for long thick hair. We recommend starting by mixing half the tube of dye with half the bottle of Activator to start with.

An opened tube that is properly sealed will last for at least 5 years. Store the tube in a dark place (e.g. in a cupboard or drawer) and at room temperature.

You can apply the hair color to dry or towel-dried hair. We recommend applying the color to towel-dried hair, as it requires less color and you get an even result more easily.

You apply color closest to the scalp and 1-5 cm out depending on the desired result. We often recommend a neutral or ashy tone at the base for a natural result.

Yes, we recommend starting with the base color then applying color to the lengths, then combing carefully between colors to avoid an edge.

Bleaching has a single task: to remove the pigments from the hair.
During the bleaching process, the underlying pigments will come to the fore. If you go from dark brown to blonde, you will see colors like red, orange, orange-yellow, yellow, and light yellow.

It is important to never bleach your hair beyond a light yellow shade, like the inside of a banana. If you go beyond this, the tint or shading will not be able to stick, and you will not be able to change the shade.

To achieve the desired shade, we recommend using True Colour hair colour or toning after bleaching. This gives you control over the colour result and helps create the shade you desire.

Within 48 hours of a colour treatment, you can use our True Colour Reboot to remove unwanted pigments from your hair. True Colour Reboot is a vitamin C-based formula that cleanses your hair of old pigments, metals and impurities. The product comes in powder form and is mixed with warm water. It can lift your permanent hair colour up to two levels and is perfect for removing metals, impurities or unwanted pigments from your hair. Colour Reboot is a great base for those who want to lighten their hair while maintaining the quality of their hair before bleaching.

Which Activator you choose depends on the result you desire:
For 1-step bleaching, we recommend Activator 5 vol. If you want to bleach 2 steps, choose Activator 20 vol.

We do not recommend using a volume higher than 20 vol when bleaching. If you want to go lighter in a gentle way, we suggest bleaching your hair more times with Activator 20 vol instead of using a higher volume.

Our Colour Reboot deeply cleanses the hair of pigments, impurities and metals:

Mix 1 sachet with 180 ml of warm water until the product has a jelly-like consistency. (For short to shoulder-length hair, you may want to divide the sachet.)

1. Wash your hair twice with Detox Shampoo with high pH.
2. Apply Colour Reboot to towel-dried hair as a mask.
3. Cover your hair with a plastic bag to create heat and activate the product.
4. Leave on for 45 minutes and then rinse out the product 2-3 times with Detox Shampoo.

The hair should not feel rough after the treatment. If you feel a rough feeling, it is likely that metals have come to the surface, and it is recommended that you do the treatment again.

True Colour Reboot is a gentle treatment that works by naturally removing impurities, metals and unwanted pigments with the help of Vitamin C. Unlike traditional bleaching, which can be more stressful on the hair, Colour Reboot offers a gentler alternative to cleanse the hair and prepare it for future colour treatments.
