If you are unsure about the condition of your hair, start with a moisturizing and strengthening treatment before bleaching. Step 1: Restore hair before bleaching

To achieve an even and beautiful result, it is important that the hair is free from impurities, metals and chemicals. Air pollution, hair products and even tap water can leave residues in the hair that affect the bleaching result.

The solution? Color Reboot!

Our Colour Reboot is a gentle bleaching treatment that is suitable for all hair colours and lightens coloured hair up to two shades. It acts as a detox for your hair and is the perfect base for a bleaching treatment. If you frequently use silver products, it is especially important to cleanse your hair before bleaching, as any residue can affect the results.

How to use Color Reboot:

Mix the powder with 180 ml of warm water in a plastic bowl.
Wash your hair with a detox shampoo (preferably with a pH value of 9).
Apply the mixture to your hair and leave it on for up to 45 minutes under a plastic cap.
Rinse thoroughly and prepare hair for bleaching.

Step 2: How to bleach your hair at home

Bleaching your hair at home can feel like a challenge, but with the right products and techniques, it's entirely possible to achieve professional results. Remember, hair dye can't lighten already-colored hair - a bleaching process is required to achieve a lighter shade.

True Blond Plex – for gentle and effective bleaching

Our True Blond Plex is a professional bleaching powder that can lighten your hair up to nine levels. It contains Plex technology that protects the hair during the treatment and reduces yellow tones.

How to use True Blond Plex:

Prepare the hair: Cleanse with Colour Reboot before bleaching for best results.
Mix the bleach: Use True Blond Plex with Activator 5 vol or 20 vol. For a gentler bleach, you can mix these to 10 vol.
Apply carefully: Leave the mixture on for a maximum of 20–40 minutes and check the hair every 5–10 minutes.
Avoid damage: Do not use extra heat and never leave the bleach on for longer than 45 minutes.
Rest between treatments: If you need to bleach your hair more than once, let it rest between treatments to avoid damage.

Step 3: Tint for a perfect blonde tone

Bleaching removes pigment from your hair, but to get that crisp, salon-perfect blonde shade, you need a tint. We recommend our True Colour tint, which is mixed with Activator 5 vol.
